Being the new guy on the block doesn't bother Michael D. at all.. Having played with almost everyone you've ever heard of from Kansas City, his background is as vast and diversified as anyone else in the group .In the mid 90's Johnny, David, & Michael were the 39th Street Blues Band. Michael filled in for Dennis in July 2006 at Hooligan Bay resort at the Lake of the Ozarks. And from the first performance there, everyone knew it was a perfect fit.
Michael has performed with Mama Ray, Big John, Matt Ward, and helped Jim Laforte put his latest CD together. He is a consummate bass player that knows the way a bass is laid down and also has the ability to step out on front street and get as funky as he wants.
To quote a good friend of the band (Mark Barber) "Michael didn't fill Dennis's shoes, he brought his own".
